The month of
September entered successfully as the Mindanao State University celebrated its
55th founding anniversary this year of 2016 with the theme “MSU@55:
In Partnership with the National Government in Pursuing Reforms Towards Peace
and Poverty Alleviation”. The celebration started with the participation of the
students, faculty and college administrators in the annual parade where they
wore their designed tees representing the college and department they come
from. There were important persons like Mr. Hobaib Watamama Macaayong, the
president of MSU-Main, and, Madame Soraya Alonto Adiong Governor of the
Province of Lanao del Sur and many more. The whole celebration was enjoying,
especially, witnessing the Sining Pananadem and Sining Kambayoka performed
their tribal Meranao dance was amazingly great. What also made the day more
enjoying was the “Open House” of the dormitories inside the campus. There were
many “pakulo” of each room you’re to enter. There’s this like it’s already
November when you pass or enter the room, there’s disco theme, Pokemon Go theme
and many more. The students enjoy this event annually as this became their
gateway to stress and enjoy the life of being an MSUan.
